Intelligent power supply open for communication with AI applications

The new CS120HV high-voltage series power supplies offer an impressive output voltage of up to 130 volts at up to 40A CW (continuous wave) and are extremely energy efficient in all applications where single emitter laser diodes are deployed. The AMTRON CS120HV is characterized by a precise power supply over the entire output range, ensuring reliable and stable operation - essential for use in material processing, medical technology, the automotive industry and research.

The AMTRON CS120HV offers outstanding performance and versatility. A particular strength is the extremely short rise time, which enables a steep current rise in the microsecond range in pulsed operation, guaranteeing precise power output at high speed. The integrated operating modes, such as constant laser power control, gated mode, trigger mode and single shot, offer the user high added value and maximum flexibility for different laser processes. All individual settings for the CS120HV can be configured quickly and easily via the user-friendly, intuitive web interface, which AMTRON supplies as standard with all power supplies.

AMTRON places a major focus on safety, protection and durability and the CS120HV sets new standards in safety features, offering a comprehensive range of protective mechanisms for both the device itself and the laser diodes. Short-circuit and reverse current protection ensure maximum operational safety, while the AMTRON-developed current tear-off protection reliably safeguards the valuable laser diodes in the event of a sudden power failure.

Thanks to AMTRON's engineering expertise, it was possible to incorporate ISO 13849 performance level “e” directly into the design of the CS120HV. The devices are equipped with a built-in redundant power cut-off function (redundant power cut-off / interlock) and are suitable as a turn-key solution for safety-critical applications. This was confirmed as part of the DEKRA (German notified body) certification.

The CS120HV provides flexibility and supports modern communication standards. It features digital control via LAN with an integrated HTTP/web server and also supports Ethernet frames (UDP) and TELNET, secured by password-protected user levels. Additionally, its versatile digital and analog I/Os facilitate trigger signals, laser control, temperature monitoring and power and current regulation. These capabilities ensure seamless integration into AI-driven systems and complex automation processes. 

The AMTRON CS120HV can be used as a desktop device or integrated into rack systems to meet different customer-specific requirements. The combination of performance, security and flexibility makes the CS120HV an ideal solution for a wide range of applications.
