High Power Diode Driver
The DPDP is a modular high power laser diode driver (high power current source plus external pulse unit) up to 320A with a rise time of 1µs. Air and water cooled versions are available.
The DPDP has multifunctional interfaces (USB, RS232) and can be operated via software (external PC, internal computer) or via hardware. Various operating modes can be configured (internal pulse generator or external pulse source).
Diode and TEC driver
The DT xxx-yy is a high-precision laser diode driver and a full bridge TEC driver with temperature controller.
This technology has a lot of advantages and is particularly suited for driving laser diodes. It offers high accuracy and current stability, excellent dynamic performance, high output impedance, low electromagnetic interference and a lot of features for protecting laser diodes.
No current overshoot or ringing arise when altering output current or load impedance abruptly.
The DT xxx-yy can be operated by a microcontroller, an external control logic or completely analog. Two operating modes are possible, mode Laser On/Off and mode Auto On.
The device is well suited to build up simple laser systems with manual controlling, or complex laser systems with RS 232 interface and an industrial interface for controlling by a programmable logic controller.
TEC Controller
The TEC Controller TEC xx-yy is a controller and driver for Peltier elements. It is a temperature control system with extreme accuracy. The output ripple is very low due to extensive multistage filters. The output is short circuit proof. The supply voltage can be a standard industrial voltage with 24V or 48V or any other input voltage. The configuration for standard temperature sensors such as Pt100, Pt1000, Ni1000 or KTY 11-5 is already integrated. Other temperature sensors can be defined by the customer. The coefficients of the PID controller can be adjusted by the customer. The user can enter a temperature set-point as well as limits for the temperature, for the Peltier voltage and current. It can be operated via hardware inputs / outputs and / or via software control. It has serial interfaces such as USB or RS 232.
OEM Laser Module with fan speed control
MESSTEC develops OEM laser modules in close co-operation with the customer. The electronic and mechanical components are produced in-house; the laser diodes are purchased or provided by the customer. Depending on customers´ requests the OEM laser modules consist of

After assembly and wiring of the laser modules MESSTEC performs electrical and optical tests before delivery.
For this, we measure the electrical and optical output curves, especially for short nanosecond pulses.
In addition, we measure the electrical and optical power.
Our test station is equipped with measurement box, function and pulse generator, photo diodes, optical power measuring devices, spectrometer, oscilloscope, chiller and electronic load for electrical power measurements.
Drivers for Fast Modulation and Pulsed Operation
The models FM, VFS,VFM and MSM are especially designed for very fast modulation with arbitrary curves and for very short pulses. The maximum diode current for CW operation is 120A, for pulsed operation 240A at maximum diode voltages of 49V. Depending on the whole configuration “laser driver - laser diode” a rise time of <=10ns and a frequency of >=30MHz can be achieved.
