About us
FiSens develops, manufactures, and markets accurate fiber optic sensor solutions based on fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor arrays and fiber-integrated spectrometers. We produce optical fibers with high sensing and multiplexing capabilities on the smallest possible footprint. Our technology maintains mechanical and signal integrity despite being utilized in harsh environments.
For more than 10 years we have been developing fully automated manufacturing processes for high-volume production of our products. FiSens has an annual production capacity of up to 2 million FBG sensors. Our FBG sensors are precise, reliable and of highest quality. They are electromagnetically immune, safe in explosive, high radiation, highly corrosive, or high-temperature environments, and are engineered for countless different applications.

We specialize in the development, manufacturing, and promotion of cutting-edge fiber optic sensor systems. Our expertise lies in leveraging our proprietary femtosecond laser process to fully automate the production of Fiber Bragg Gratings (FBGs) and a unique FiSens Diffraction Grating directly within the core of standard telecom fibers. These two integral components form a seamlessly integrated, cost-effective sensing system that empowers our clients to monitor a wide range of variables, including temperature, strain, and force at any desired point along the fiber.
Remarkably slender, with a thickness comparable to human hair, like an artificial optical nerve, FiSens sensing fibers can be effortlessly incorporated into a myriad of objects. This attribute equips them with the ability to perceive their surroundings effectively.
Fs-Laser Fiber Bragg Gratings
High-volume series production of top-quality FBG arrays — ranging from single FBGs to thousands of FBGs per fiber. Custom fibers are available, including bend-insensitive, pure silica core, radiation-hard, reduced-cladding, and more. Features include ultra-high strength (5–6% strain), exceptionally low insertion loss (<0.01 dB), and minimal polarization-dependent wavelength shift (<5 pm).
Compact FBG Interrogator
Ultra-compact, rugged and cost-effective FBG-Interrogators. Fully-integrated systems including onboard analysis for real-time measurement and streaming of accurate wavelength, strain and temperature data.
Multipoint Temperature Sensors
Ultra-thin, rugged fiberoptical sensing cable with up to 30 temperature sensing points. Only 0.55mm diameter, 100% passive and non-electrical with high sensitivity.
IoT-Ready FBG Interrogator
The NEO FBG Interrogator platform is FiSens’s latest innovation, featuring a powerful set of precise, accurate fiber Bragg grating (FBG) measurements and an unprecedented multiplexing capability of up to 360 sensing points over 12 optical fibers. The NEO platform is designed as a highly inter-operable measurement instrument for direct, seamless integration into any industrial environment. Equipped with an RTOS, web server, and over-the-air firmware update capabilities, the NEO FBG Interrogator supports IoT-ready applications, ultimately easing the setup and utilization of temperature or strain sensing fibers.
