INSION is the leading manufacturer of monolithic micro spectrometers and spectral sensors for OEM applications.

We focus on the development and the production of miniaturized spectral sensors and spectrometers for OEM applications. The INSION core team has been working for more than 20 years in micro system technology and miniature spectral sensing applications. We support customers in all application aspects.

INSION offers solutions for the complete sample centered optical signal path design, including light source and fiber optical or free-space sampling optics. Cooperation can start on the analytical test concept, design work, feasibility studies and continues to the final product development, production and life cycle management.

Products and services

The INSION micro spectrometer technology is based on micro molded monolithic optical devices which combine all optical elements in a single part. Consequently, the products are extremely robust in harsh environments like mechanical shock, vibration, acceleration, temperature and humidity and feature an excellent stability. The INSION devices are tailored for battery powered handheld analytic and diagnostic devices. They are used biological and medical diagnostics, instrumental analysis, process control, environmental monitoring, analysis of agricultural and nutrition products, metrology and gemology.

The technology grants minimal manufacturing tolerances and thus a high reproducibility and an excellent inter instrument conformity. This allows customers to transfer calibration data to the entire series of final devices and to reduce manufacturing costs significantly.

A new production line for UV VIS products is built
Due to the excellent optical performance and inter instrument agreement, the requirements of our high sensitivity spectrometer UV VIS SENS have increased year by year. In order to fulfil customers’ requirements und ensures the high quality of our products a new production line has been built in 2019 und the new testing method has also been used.
Raspberry SPEGG Mobile Analytical System
Raspberry SPEGG integrates light source, micro spectrometer, operating system and touch screen. It can be used as the basis for designing handheld inspection system.
